FCR Tuning - Apply filter oil to the ram air filter at the end...

This is not a story limited to FCR. While setting up FCR,I often test drive with funnel specifications. The reason is that it is a hassle to attach and detach the ram air filter when turning the air screw. Although it is a ram air filter,even if it is installed and driven with oil applied,it will not affect the settings much.

FCR Tuning - Adjust and synchronize air screw and pilot screw - 22/10/27...

I tightened the pilot screw from fully open. I feel that there is no problem with rich when the throttle opening is slightly opened from fully closed,but too rich is not a pleasant feeling,so when the engine is warm,the air-fuel ratio should not exceed 13.0. I'm about to cut it.

FCR Tuning-Test run and screw adjustment-22/10/25...

My CBX1000 has a two-pronged throttle wire. There are two idling stop screws. Changing the idling will cause a slight loss of synchronization. It's only numbers 1 and 6,but I'm adjusting the idling stop screw while checking with the vacuum gauge.

Tools required for CBX1000 FCR tuning...

Racing carburetors such as FCR are not finished once they are installed; with FCR,it is just the start. FCR starts after tuning. This time I will introduce the tools used for FCR tuning of CBX1000. It will also serve as a reference for other motorcycle FCR users. The main focus is on tuning,so if you want to completely disassemble it you will need a separate tool,but this is an introduction to tools for tuning.

FCR Tuning - Slow Jet Change - 22/10/24...

When I did a test run the other day,I was a little concerned about the low throttle opening. The slow jet was set to 42 based on the time of BITO shipment. Perhaps it was because of the delayed discharge timing of the accelerator pump or because of the season,there were parts where the power was weak when starting from a fully closed throttle,and the air-fuel ratio was briefly lean,so it wasn't very pleasant. So I changed the slow jet from 42 to 48.

FCR carburetor tuning - test run on the expressway and Kizuna Stadium in Iwakuni...

I have been told that a Saturday Night meeting will be held at Kizuna Stadium in Iwakuni from 19:00 on October 22,2022. Along the way,I also tried driving the FCR while checking various air-fuel ratio gauges and paying close attention to the effectiveness of the accelerator pump.

My CBX1000 is equipped with a PLX DM-6 air-fuel ratio meter. When it comes to measuring the air-fuel ratio meter,which is the subject of this article,it is better to use one with a wide band and high response. I removed and installed the CBX1000 triple meter analog voltmeter.

CBX1000 photo and FCR acceleration pump discharge timing turning...

I rarely ride my bike without thinking about anything. I think it would be more meaningful to make some changes to the FCR before riding the bike. I've gotten into the habit of touching something before I run by myself. I will post a photo from when I took a test run by myself at Yasunohana Station the other day.

FCR tuning-jet needle clip stage number change 22/10/16...

CBX1000 FCR tuning. Even though I say I will tune it,I am very satisfied with the current situation,so I am changing it for the sake of knowledge. The number of clip stages has been changed from [2] to [3]. Very good. The number of clip stages will be set to [3] for the time being. If you change the number of clip stages from season to season or over time,you will often find that the ride quality of your motorcycle changes significantly and becomes better.

FCR Tuning-Acceleration Pump Discharge Timing Adjustment-22/10/12...

The acceleration pumps of the old CBX1000 FCR are attached to numbers 3 and 6. Looking at the range of influence in the tuning manual,it is in 0.6mm increments,but there are individual differences between vehicles and FCRs. Or,the tabs may become strange due to over-adjustment,so it is better to check visually to some extent and use this as a guideline only.
