Clutch

I will write about the clutch housing that I replaced during the winter maintenance of my CBX1000. This is about changing the clutch housing from the early model to the later model. I’ll start by sharing my impressions.

The size of the collar for the earlier model is 45mm, while the size for the later model is 43.6mm. The springs have slight differences between the early and late models. It should be possible to force the earlier model's parts to work with the later model. The clutch outer differs in shape for the CB1, SC03, and SC06 models. The newer the model, the more improvements have been made. It seems that specialized shops can rebuild or implement improvements for the CB1 and SC03.The friction plates consist of seven disc A's and one disc B. Disc B is larger and is currently out of stock from the manufacturer.
