I am the owner of a Honda motorcycle [CBX1000] who lives in Hiroshima City, Japan. I am posting about FCR carburetor and CBX1000 customization. I also post about things other than cars and motorcycles. We will post information that will make bikers around the world happy.
On October 29, 2023 (Sunday), I attended the 11th JB-POWER Meeting. I will mainly describe the atmosphere of the venue. The photos are compiled separately at the bottom of the text. My thoughts will be modest, focusing primarily on guiding you through the venue's atmosphere.
So, let’s get started!
Timeline and location
Date and Time: October 29, 2023 (Sunday) from 9:00 AM Normally, this event is held in May, but it was rescheduled due to rain cancellations.
Schedule:
9:00 AM: Doors open / Registration 9:20 AM: Test ride begins 11:00 AM: Temporary pause for group photo, rock-paper-scissors tournament, and announcement of the winning numbers for the 11th commemorative T-shirts 12:10 PM: Test ride resumes 2:00 PM: Event ends Location: Kounotori Tajima Airport East Parking Lot The airport parking lot is the venue. There are guiding staff present, so there's no need to worry about getting lost.
Test Ride: You need to pick up your tickets in advance, so if you’re aiming to test ride, it’s important to arrive early. In my case, I arrived at 10:30 AM and the last ticket for the CBX1000 was available.
Exhibition: Complete motorcycles that are often seen in magazines are on display.
Please head towards the airport. The venue is spacious, but you shouldn’t have any trouble figuring out where to go. It's also fine to come by car.
Reception
There is a reception, but you don’t need to check in to enter the venue. You can arrive at any time. A commemorative sticker with a serial number will be given out upon arrival. Later on, there will be T-shirt giveaways.
Regarding the test ride, if you don’t make a reservation early, there is a possibility that you won’t be able to ride your desired motorcycle.
Rock-paper-scissors tournament
It’s an event where participants gather in front of the stage and play rock-paper-scissors with the host. If you win, you can receive prizes. T-shirts, tote bags, and umbrellas were among the items available. It’s a very enjoyable event, and winning is quite exciting!
Group photo
We will take a group photo for magazines and the official page. Please participate in the photo shoot as much as possible, unless you are secretly attending without your family knowing. When the event is lively, it enhances next year’s prizes and content.
Test ride event
"It’s a small area, but test rides are available. The space is quite limited for experiencing the performance of the brakes and engine, so you can only get a feel for the atmosphere. Since multiple motorcycles run simultaneously, rapid acceleration and sudden braking are also difficult. However, you can still enjoy the ambiance through the test ride, so please be sure to take a test ride when you attend the BITO JB-POWER Meeting.
Display vehicle
These are the display vehicles that you often see in magazines. Rather than being just a show, they showcase motorcycles that are actually in good working condition and ready to ride. The prices displayed on the signs refer to the BITO aftermarket parts used, not the custom details.
Display of custom parts
There was an exhibition of BITO throttle and mag tank. It’s not often that you get to handle these in stores. I highly encourage you to pick up the mag tank to feel the difference in weight.
Restroom and lunch
Since the venue is right next to the airport, you can easily walk to nearby restaurants and restrooms. The airport restaurants are somewhat on the pricier side. If you decide to use the airport restaurants, please make sure to use any available coupons. https://tt-mint.com/coupon-cat/gourmet/
There was also a café and snack area inside the venue that offered affordable options. They are likely to set up again in the following years. Please make sure to take advantage of it!
Venue atmosphere
It seems that the number of attendees is relatively low for a meeting hosted by BITO. The limited promotion through magazines and the official website is likely the main reason for this. For attendees, a moderate scale is actually more enjoyable, so it’s appreciated.
I went to the 2023 – 11th BITO JB-POWER Meeting.【summary】
As mentioned above, if it’s an event hosted by BITO, stronger promotion would likely draw a larger crowd. From the perspective of the attendees, it’s undoubtedly a very enjoyable event. Since it’s organized by a parts manufacturer, you have the opportunity to handle parts that you wouldn’t normally get to touch. The motorcycle test rides are also a major highlight.
I am attending as a participant. I would prefer to keep the current scale rather than having an overcrowded event. However, from the organizer’s standpoint, a larger scale is likely ideal. I came from Hiroshima, which is about 600 km one way. It rained during the trip and I made some wrong turns, so I couldn’t provide a detailed review.
Looking at other attendees' motorcycles is also a lot of fun. There’s just not enough time to enjoy everything from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. In every industry, there are legends. The organizer of this event, Mr. Sadamitsu Bito, has been active overseas since before I was born. We can’t always count on being able to see him in good health.
In that sense, for riders who read this article and haven’t attended a meeting yet, I strongly encourage you to consider coming next time. My next blog will cover the complete machines like the CBX1000.
So, see you again!
