I am the owner of a Honda motorcycle [CBX1000] who lives in Hiroshima City, Japan. I am posting about FCR carburetor and CBX1000 customization. I also post about things other than cars and motorcycles. We will post information that will make bikers around the world happy.
I was not convinced.
I'll take it apart and try again.
When I say I'm starting over, I don't mean starting over from scratch. Where things are getting messy,
We are increasing the strength of the stay and reconsidering the large gap between the cowl and frame.
It was difficult to see how the stay was held until last time, so I took a photo.
I'd like to be able to run by the next post...

【CBX400F Integra cowl installation creation edition】
Rubber is wrapped around the bolt to prevent the plastic part from coming into direct contact with the metal part.
The same goes for the screen part. The purpose is to prevent the plastic parts from cracking due to vibration. In rare cases, the stay may break due to vibration, such as with a numbered fenderless kit.
Bolts and nuts can also loosen due to vibration, so be careful.
Connect the stay on the back of the cowl to the stay on the frame side to secure the cowl.
There are 6 fixing points. The mounting position can be adjusted so that the position can be adjusted.
It's called an offset, but if you make this offset extremely large,
Please note that you may be prohibited from entering or exiting motorcycle shops.
There is a problem with the offset of the cowl.
Previously, when I installed it, the offset was too large and there was a gap between the meter and the cowl. Originally, I was referring to the mounting position of rocket cowls such as Ducati's Bevel.
Isn't the gap too wide? When I looked at the current rigid mount motorcycles, they were quite close to each other.
I also decided to change the offset.
I am redoing the welding of the stay so that the offset can be adjusted.
Attach a normal turn signal to the gap. The mounting position of the turn signal on Kawasaki's Z1R is used as a reference. It may be bad to use Bevel as a reference, or Z1R as a reference, or be inconsistent, but
It's better than not having any reference at all.
Wiring process on the frame side of CBX1000
Since the light case has been removed, the wiring is exposed.
Prepare a box that can be used as a light case.
It was a rough setup, but it turned out to be quite clean. As the work progresses, secure the case and take out the turn signals, switches, headlight wiring, and horn wiring. It was more refreshing than I expected,
I'm surprised myself.
YOSHIMURA – Temp meter and cushion
Others have changed the position of the temp meter etc. I don't want to attach anything around the steering wheel, but this time I plan to attach it to the corner of the steering wheel or cowl so that I don't have to worry about fixing it when I remove the cowl in the future. The cushion is attached to prevent the cowl from cracking when it shakes.
I am very happy to see it gradually taking shape. Probably no problem.
In the end, I think it would be nice to be able to have a clean and tidy state.
Currently, I am putting it on and taking it off many times.
There are no reference motorcycles.
If you are not satisfied with the work, try again.
It is dangerous to ride a motorcycle if you are unsure about your riding habits.
The good thing about amateur DIY is that you can make it with more attention to detail than if you asked a custom shop to make it for you.
I work until I'm satisfied.
The goal is to run comfortably at 200km/h.
Well then! See you again!
