Buying a CBX1000 FCR - How to tune for the first time...

Many people want to install a racing carburetor on the CBX1000. In Japan,the options are the BITO FCR or CRS carburetor. It seems that TMR can also be made to order,but it is not common. If I were to buy one,I would choose the FCR.

FCR Tuning - Jet needle changed to 90FTN. I was concerned about the straight diameter - 2022-11-15...

This is a test run after changing the jet needle of the CBX1000 FCR. The purpose is to check whether the straight diameter of the jet needle is good or bad at low throttle opening. I have been selecting a jet needle for the slow jet 48 for a while now. As a result of the test run,the acceleration is so good that I don't want to touch it for a while.

Notes on changing FCR slow jet...

Since the CBX1000 has 6 carburetors,the number of jet changes is 6 times that of the SR,and 1.5 times that of a 4-cylinder motorcycle. It's a pain. When purchasing a new jet,it costs 6 times more than an SR. I don't regret it too much since it's money I'll be spending on my hobby,but it's better if it doesn't cost anything.

FCR tuning - Jet needle replacement - Up change - 2022-11-08...

This is the FCR tuning. Current jet needles have a special thread count that sharpens up. It should be 90FXM#3=90FTM#1. I haven't tried it,so I don't know,but it should probably be the same. I'll check it out when I have some free time.

FCR Tuning - Tuning throttle opening from 1/16 to 1/8 - 2022-11-06...

Regarding the current FCR tuning of CBX1000,I was concerned about the lower throttle opening. It's not a good idea to get caught up in the air-fuel ratio meter,but a partial reading of 10.5 is around throttle opening of 1/16 to 1/8. It is unclear whether this condition is good or bad.

FCR Tuning - Slow Jet Change - 2022-10-24...

When I did a test run the other day,I was a little concerned about the low throttle opening. The slow jet was set to 42 based on the time of BITO shipment. Perhaps it was because of the delayed discharge timing of the accelerator pump or because of the season,there were parts where the power was weak when starting from a fully closed throttle,and the air-fuel ratio was briefly lean,so it wasn't very pleasant. So I changed the slow jet from 42 to 48.

FCR-PS Isn't it too rich? How to decide between pilot screw and slow jet...

I've been worried about something ever since I started using FCR. This is how to return the pilot screw. The other day,when I was synchronizing,I noticed something,so I'll write it down. There are few people who specifically write about how to decide on slow jets and pilot screws.

FCR Tuning - Changed SJ from 38 to 40. PS pilot screw adjustment - 2022-09-28...

① Set the AS to a slightly richer position. ② Set the PS back by 1.00 minutes. ③ Open the PS for about 15 minutes at a time. ④ Open the PS to a point where it is easy to maintain idling and it is finished. In the case of CBX1000,I have never had a problem with driving because the PS was opened too much and it was too rich,but I start from a lean PS and then richen it.

FCR tuning - Change and synchronize SJ and MJ - 2022-09-27...

About MJ main jet. When I looked at the air-fuel ratio meter,I noticed that it would be better if I made it even slightly lighter. It may not make much sense,but I changed MJ by one step from 128 to 125. This is the season when fuel becomes richer as we approach winter. There is no problem even if you shake it a little thin.

The other day,when I was carrying around a Carburetor Pilot Screw Adjustment Tool,a certain mass touring group asked me,``What is this?'' ” I was bombarded with questions in turn.
