Rather than asking a shop to do all the work all at once, we are proceeding with the work by purchasing spare parts, repairing them, and replacing them so that the period of being unable to ride is short. Other than the engine and frame, there are parts that have been removed or removed.

Exterior changes

The exterior has been changed. I've been collecting exteriors for several years. Is it from about 10 years ago?
I recently got a complete suspension set for the CB1100f (triple tree, brake caliper, handle, and front fork set), so I refreshed the whole thing. The old exterior was sent to storage.
As a theme, all matte plastics were painted glossy black.
I also painted the engine guard black to look like the subframe.
It feels good to see a motorcycle that is kept clean.

We ask the painting contractor to take photos and perform the work in order, so some photos may be missing or out of order.
The fuel tank has a lot of dents, the meter is cracked and chipped, and I buy items that are missing or damaged at a low price and spend time fixing them and getting the missing parts.

Advantages and disadvantages of using CB1100F

There are many benefits to transplanting the front area of the CB1100F. There are various ideas about the front fork, but with the conversion of the CB1100f, I decided to change to the 39-pi front fork, which I have always admired. The reason why I don't choose an aftermarket product or a big one is because I want to avoid major changes in style and ride quality. The handle can be used with Robohan or can be installed with bolt-on. The meter position, headlight angle, balance, etc. can be installed with the same dimensions, so it will not collapse. Only the triple tree shaft needs to be replaced, but that's all you need to do. The overall height of the front vehicle will also increase, but the ride quality can be adjusted simply by adjusting the length of the suspension.
The center stand and side stand will not be long enough, but if you remove them and modify them, it won't make you unable to drive. Another good thing is that many bolt-on parts can be used.
Brembo calipers were installed by bolt-on.
The disadvantage is that you have to spend money and effort to install an old front fork.
Also, the anti-nose dive mechanism, commonly known as TRAC, was the latest technology at the time that is unnecessary in modern times.

In this renovation, we also painted things that could not be painted without disassembling them. If you remove the exterior around the front, the working vehicle will look like a scrap piece.
The inner part of the front fork has also been re-plated, and the springs and seals are still genuine and can be ordered, so I replaced them.

The inner disc rotor is also painted glossy. There are some scratches and some parts where the paint is peeling off, but it's not very noticeable.

Plating processing

I wanted to plate the handle and head cover, so I asked a separate contractor to do the work.
The CBX has a design that emphasizes the engine, so plating the head cover may be a good way to dress it up. There is only a disadvantage in terms of heat dissipation effect, so it is completely a matter of self-satisfaction.

Probably the head cover, but only the shape is slightly different from the CBZ. It seems that the cams are different, but I don't know if they can be used as is. If you use an electric tachometer for the meter gear part, use it to check the oil temperature or remove blow-by gas.

In the past, my thinking was that I wanted to run a 6-cylinder motorcycle well, even if it was dirty.

It affected me so much that I started thinking that I had to fix it properly.

If I ask the motorcycle shop to do it for me, it might be a big burden, so I do it myself.
On the other hand, changing oil, tires, and heavy items is difficult without tools, so you can have it done in a short time at a motorcycle shop.
I try to make requests when I am ready to complete the work.
I'm often told that because I do the work myself, it won't be cheap.
Considering the amount of time it takes to buy tools and chemicals, and the physical strength required to do the work,
