I am the owner of a Honda motorcycle [CBX1000] who lives in Hiroshima City, Japan. I am posting about FCR carburetor and CBX1000 customization. I also post about things other than cars and motorcycles. We will post information that will make bikers around the world happy.
Motorcycle phone mount – a Japanese brand SYGN HOUSE.
The motorcycle phone mount is equipped on most modern motorcycles. It’s a device found on almost every motorcycle you see on the streets. I personally use the motorcycle phone mount made by the Japanese brand, SYGN HOUSE. Let me explain the reasons why I use it:
①. It’s made of billet aluminum, which gives it a stylish and cool appearance. ②. I want to take full advantage of the flexibility of the ball joint. These are the two main reasons.
I own a Japanese Classic Motorcycle. When I first owned it, my goal wasn’t necessarily to ride a Japanese Classic Motorcycle. What I wanted was the CBX1000. It has been 20 years since I got it, and when I bought it, it was just a used bike. Old motorcycles often come with outdated equipment and features, which can pose risks when riding and cause missed opportunities to access convenient modern items. Sometimes, I want to avoid adding equipment that doesn’t suit the character of an older motorcycle. A smartphone is an essential item for us living in the modern world. The primary purpose of using it on my motorcycle is to use navigation apps. I’ve also used it for GPS speedometer apps. Although I don’t use it, you can also listen to music or record riding videos. You can even add a lap timer.

It’s a product that uses a ball joint. It offers great versatility in adjusting angles, removing or installing other devices, and more. The billet aluminum machining gives it a stylish and cool appearance. However, its high price is a downside. Despite the high cost, it certainly offers a sense of luxury. It’s recommended for motorcycles that require a touch of luxury. The arm section uses a ball joint, providing an extremely high degree of freedom when adjusting the mounting angle.

A note about handlebars: The diameter of handlebars on Japanese motorcycles is generally 22.2mm. Harley-Davidson and similar motorcycles have slightly thicker handlebars, around 25.4mm. Please be cautious when selecting clamps.
The ball size for SYGN HOUSE products is 23mm. RAM MOUNT uses 25.4mm. Quad Lock uses 20mm. The ball parts, including those from SYGN HOUSE, are also available for purchase on Amazon and other platforms. I used one of these to install the Yoshimura temp meter and a Blueskysea dashcam on my CBX1000.

I am not a spokesperson for SYGN HOUSE. Vibration from motorcycles is one of the causes of camera malfunctions in iPhones. It seems that a product has been released to reduce this issue. ↓The sales page will open below↓ SYGN HOUSE - Vibration Guard.
The CBX1000 is relatively low in vibration compared to other motorcycles. I would rather not be a test subject to see how quickly the latest Apple iPhone breaks. Items like this vibration guard might be worth adding as extra equipment. As for my iPhone 7, I haven't noticed any signs of damage even without the vibration guard, for now.
Motorcycle phone mount – a Japanese brand SYGN HOUSE.【summary】
Even with old motorcycles, it’s important to keep them clean and add new functions. It’s not necessarily right to avoid adding anything just because it’s an older motorcycle. To continue riding a motorcycle, it’s necessary to gradually update and upgrade it. Compared to long-time motorcyclists, today’s riders in their 20s tend to make more careful selections when it comes to equipment. At the very least, I believe that devices like intercoms and dashcams are essential for motorcycles that are regularly seen on public roads. As for me, the motorcycle phone mount is not very necessary since I’m not going to the track, and I don’t need navigation, as long as I know the turning points. Additionally, I have an intercom installed, which provides me with voice directions for turns. This post is not about recommending the installation of a motorcycle phone mount, but rather just sharing that such items exist. I’ve been rushing to write up to 100 articles. My first post was on 2022-04-02. I haven’t been posting more than twice a day on average, but I hope to reach 100 posts by the end of this month. See you again!
